For some reason, I suspect a huge number of these gloriously over-named models will be turning up in the next couple of weeks, so I figured, why not try and get as many of them in one place as possible? It was jokingly suggested as a theme for next month's actual Unofficial Painting Challenge, and while it's a bit too specific for that, I do enjoy seeing different interpretations of the same model, especially one as cool as this that loads of people are going to be working on!

So whether you're painting it stock as a champion of the Blood God, slapping on some armour and making it a Space Marine or even turning it into an Ork Warboss (I've seen the suggestion, I want to see the result!), post up your SLAUGHTERPRIEST WITH HACKBLADE in here! There's not going to be any points or votes or anything like a regular challenge, and you won't win anything other than the Blood God's favour, but I think it'll be cool to see what the community comes up with!

Why on earth would you think that? There's nothing inherently ridiculous about the SLAUGHTERPRIEST WITH HACKBLADE!

Speaking of which, sitting down to paint mine now, all jokes aside this is a really, really wonderful sculpt. Full of menace, packed with detail, should be a blast to paint!

Really enjoyed painting this one. My favourite part is definitely how he's a SLAUGHTERPRIEST, but I am also rather a fan of the fact he has a HACKBLADE. The WRATHHAMMER is also a much-overlooked part of the design, I feel... and yes, I did literally just dip said weapon in BFTBG, because this is not a model that in any way calls for subtlety!

I like it.

Not sure about the white helmet, but the blood is well used.

Not nearly enough EXCLAIMATION MARKS for effect. But yeah, the model is well painted

I knew your Bloodbound style would translate excellently onto this badass. Please tell me you're going to get Gorechosen so he has 4 badass friends to hang out with too! :-)

I'm not spending $20 (10 plus 10 for shipping) just to get a SLAUGHTERPRIEST WITH HACKBLADE! If I see it at my FLGS on Saturday (doubt it since it'll disappear quick I'm sure), I'll get one, since the magazine interests me in addition to the SLAUGHTERPRIEST WITH HACKBLADE.

We now return to our regularly scheduled SLAUGHTERPRIEST WITH HACKBLADE!!!!!!!!!!!! (that enough exclamation points for you guys?)

Got mine today, built it, but I'm going to make it Slaanesh.
Or at least, not Khorne.
I'm leaving off his loincloth so we can see that gloriously OTT codpiece.

Hopefully get mine in the next coupleof days. Still can decide what to do with him. Really tempted to turn him into a monsterous admech construct......

It would be quite simple, there are only three Khorne icons. One tiny tag on his belt, one engraved on his helmet, and one on his loincloth that you can leave off anyway.
His arm has a mouth though.
