I've taken the week off, having just exited the Navy and moved across the coast, spending most of it with my family but also painting for fun. Commissions are on hold to
make sure I enjoy my 'leave' and Im really appreciating the time to paint whatever I want, however I want, as a civilian.

Ive had this model a long time and finally got to paint it yesterday. I went very clinical with it, making for a short two hour painting time but with an overall solid result. I even
made a tacky 360 video for it, complete with moody 40k (Lustmord) music.

For only 2 hours of work, that thing is gorgeous! I'm jealous. I'm guessing you did a lot of the painting with an airbrush?

Thanks man, trying to keep things limited these days.

Priming and base coat was airbrush, as well as a small center plate highlight. Everything else was brush and a small sponge for armor effects.

Thanks! From start to finish it was a little less than two hours, the methodology is very clinical for this kind of thing so the whole painting process is
pretty quick! (once youre used to it)

Very nice indeed, man. Like the little lenses especially, and the flare of the motor without looking too airbrushed.

Tidy your base rim, though. That leaps out at me and makes my scalpel hand itch. I spot this occasionally, it drives me to distraction.

Dude I know, its like the one thing I never notice until the lightbox is going and taking pictures. At this point its probably happened to me over
100 times, so theres no one to blame but myself. :(

EDIT: The other one that kills me to no end is when there is a stray dog hair. Its not as frequent these days now that my light box is enclosed
(and I keep it closed), but every once in a while I send a client a finished pic and I wont notice some bigass tamaskan dog hair sticking
out of somewhere. >:[

Its Martian Ironearth applied thickly, then primed black and weathered at the same time as the Domitar's feet, I think I used Secret Weapon's
Red Rust and Dark Earth powders.
