With the new Blood Angel rules, I've compiled a list I'd like to make, but haven't yet to actually PLAY 30k, I'm not to sure on it. So I'd like advice on how to make it good/better.

Overall looks pretty solid.

1) consider dropping 1 assault squad/apothecary in favor of more armor or anti-armor; not strictly necessary by any means, but there seems to be a lack of ranged anti-tank in your list. Flyers are good, but there's a lot of stuff in 30k that will blow them out of the sky very quickly, so you need something else to bust armor from a distance. I don't know blood angels fluff all that well, but consider rapier laser destroyers or rapier gravs as a cheap alternative

2) I'm noting a distinct lack of assault cannons on your dreads - from what I understand, you can have a DCCW with an inbuilt assault cannon - because blood angels

3) Where's the heavy flamer going on that contemptor dread?

I would advise trying to find the points to replace your praetors blade of perdition with a paragon blade.

It looks pretty solid. One thing I would suggest that you do with the contemptor dread is to give it two CCW and instead of two heavy flamers give it two of the smaller pattern assault cannons. It is a really vicious way to run the Contemptor and BA are the only ones that can do it. I would also drop those combat shields off your Sgt's I find that the artificer armor does most of the work and that the shields really are not worth those extra few points.

I dropped an assault squad+apoth and took a heavy support squad, since anymore than one Rapier would have put me beyond my Elites limit.

Switched the Praetor's weapon, took the shields off my sgts., and stuck mini-assault cannons on my contemptor. All the changes are in the OP if you'd like to see.

Looks a bit light now, though...

Definitely looking better! You've got a good CC punch on pretty much all non-tank/flyer units and lots of ranged harassment as well. If you're thinking it feels light, you could drop the dreadnought drop pod on one of the contemptors and have him run up the front lines, and add more guys to your assault squads? Consider that you also have nearly 600 points into your HQ slot; your warlord's squad is going to do a loooot of heavy lifting, so don't underestimate the punch he's going to be packing.

So the list is looking really good and the only critique I really have left is for those heavy support squads I would swap out the Lascannons for Missile Launchers, I find lascannons to only be marginally better. With those points and if we can find 15 more points to shave off of this list you can get a Master of Signal which you could stick with those missile launchers and really up their damage output.

Or they could also drop 3 of the combat shields on the command squad. Power swords excel in 30k where there is plenty of power armor for the picking especially in this list where he will be Striking at I5 and wounding most other models on 3's power swords give him a very clear edge that combat shields do not so that's where I personally would cut the points

If I drop down to Missile Launchers, and a single combat shield, I can get the MoS.

However, my chief concern is that if I don't go first, it will be just that 7-man unit on the field for my opponent to concentrate on.

Is there some other cheaper(more numerical), or deepstrike capable choice that I could go with?

I am reluctant to drop my dreadnoughts, as I have already have them, and haven't gotten to use them yet.

Boy, I kinda wish I could still deepstrike landraiders.

Speaking of landraiders...I could drop the Heavy weapon guys, the MoS, the Combat Shields, and instead of a Paragon Blade, take the Blade of Perdition...and that way I could take a Spartan Assault Tank.

Alright, I just couldn't have a single squad sitting out there, so I put back my 3rd jump squad/apothecary.

I doubt my list could break a death star, but it should do fairly well against anything else. I only with I could put 2 power weapons, and 2 hand flamers in an assault squad, instead of just two special weapons total.

I figure, I'd have about two of my squads in reserve(if I get first turn), and have them drop in while the rest of my jumpers move up field.

I can also use the drop pod to provide cover(especially with the dread drop pod.), from super heavy weapons, with the exception of them Ignores cover D Weapons, and barrage.
