How does one go about doing a null deployment. I'm coming back to 40k from a bit of a break and the whole "everything coming in from reserves behind them"

The only true way that Dark Eldar can null deploy is through the use of a formation called the Scalpel Squadron available in the Haemonculus Covens supplement.
If you don't have anything on the table at the end of the game turn, you automatically lose.
So if i were to use a nearly full mech list, then maybe jsut sit some mandrakes in heavy cover, with maybea couple of other threast just to create some sort of redundancy plan, then turn two surise.

You could do that. Just be warned that there are a lot of ignores cover/ Ignores line of sight in the game now. That could put you in a situation where you lose turn 1.
