Hey dakka, I was looking for some help with basing.

My space wolves are expanding to the point where I should probably start considering basing.

They are painted in relatively normal, cooky cutter space wolves schemes, lots of gold, and red on the shoulder pads.

I was looking for basing help as I don't want to base them in snow like they usually are just so they stick out as an army a bit more.

I was thinking mud or concrete, I'm leaning towards the mud but I am not sure how the dark brown would contrast with the army.
