I'm finding it hard to keep up with the rules interactions with formation bonuses and independent characters(I think we had some clarification for wulfen recently..)

The bloodcrazed formation bonus gives fleet and a +3" charge, which a chaos Lord or Kharn can get.

If I have a Lord with +3" charge. And he's in a unit ehich doesn't. And they charge- Can I add the +3 for the Lord (assuming he's up front) to allow a charge to succed , which would otherwise fail?

The FAQs state you always use the fastest model's rules for your charge roll. So yes to +3". However, no to Fleet, as an entire unit needs Fleet.

Interesting. Not quite what I was expecting.
I doubt I could really justify getting the 3" charge bonus for the whole unit, even if just the Lord had it and wasn't closest.
I'm aware that's how jump packs work now :-D
