This one is simple, I was going to buy a vindicator, but then noticed that the razorback is in promotion in my local store. How does one compare to the other?

Well, they are kind of used for completely different reasons, so comparing them would be pointless. You'll find more use out of a Vindicator personally, as you need several Razors to realistically make a difference. They tend to work better in groups (cos they are transports), and Vindis kind of do well regardless.

This belongs in tactics, not YMDC.
But tactically they couldn't be more different.
One is an Infantry fighting vehicle and the other is best for hunting other tanks at close range.
The razorback kit comes with a twin-linked heavy bolter or a twin linked lascannon. Both are useful if you lack anti-medium infantry or anti-armour respectively.
The vindicator has a hull-mounted demolisher cannon which kills heavy infantry and vehicles but has a shorter range than the Razorbacks guns.
The razorback can also transport troops which the vindicator cannot.

The Vindicator.
Not so much because of a tactical reason, more because I never buy Razorback kits, I buy Rhino kits because they're a few bucks cheaper and kit bash them to make Razorbacks.
Vindicators can be made the same way but they rarely look as good as the kit model.

Normally I suggest buying razors over rhinos. It’s just a few bucks more, and you get the parts to make both easy. I know my bits box is short of the guns that would go on a razor. YMMV.
Rhinos/razors can find their way into almost every marine list. Footslogging is not the best option, so you want some sort of ride. And it’s it’s not a pod, you get the box.
Vindis, while fun, either require a CAD or one of a small number of formations that they fit into. So see more shelf time.

Nice work, both a tactical reason and an economic reason. I'll concede to that logic.
