So after many years break from miniatures and games, I decided to brush off the dust and take up the paintbrush again. Also, a new edition of the core game 40k and kill team is out, and I thought it would be fun to make a small force. See they have a "bundle" for orks on the GW site, 2 trucks, burnas and nobs...my rules are a bit outdated..but burnas and nobs are both elites, right? Last time I played you could have one elite "squad" when playing kill team (and two troops, one fastattack)

Am I missing something?

Ps: I got some scions for my birthday, If i play them as a kill team, can I take a sentinel with them? Or do I have to keep to tempestus codex...or are they part of the astra militarum codex as well? I see the scion command squad is an elite choice for astra millitarum filter on GW shop. I just have the pre 7th edition codices.

You Make Da Call isn't a replacement for owning and referring to the rules - we can't just hand out the rules.

To answer your question in short though, a Kill Team Detachment is made up of 0-2 Troops, 0-1 Elites and/or 0-1 Fast Attack choices, with several other restrictions. The rules also say the kill team must be chosen from a single codex.
