I'm sure there have been a plethora of these types of threads in the past but didn't really want to bring old topics back from the dead so here we go...

So if you could have a new unit in your faction what would it be or which faction would you choose to have new units for?

My choice would have to be Necrons, as out of all the "main factions" (not sub-codex) they seem to have the least variance in units (when looking on the GW site, I know SOB are low but I've left them out of my opinion as even a newbie can see they don't get any love from GW anymore) and most of those you can get are characters, something like a new fast attack unit like immortals/warriors but mounted on like mechanical spider legs..

Or just make tomb blades troops . That would actually be a really broken change imo, imagine having eldar jetbikes, but with t5, reanimation protocols, ignore cover, and twin linked (though their firepower is not quite as good). Then realize that with all those upgrades they still cost 5 points less per model than an eldar jetbikes with scatter laser (iirc). It would be interesting to see how the meta changed though, as you can only get ObSec or the relentless mtc 4+ rp combo.

Anyway I too want a new necron unit. Preferably a Titan killer like the old transcendent C'tan, a giant centerpiece unit that doesn't suck like the Tesseract vault. A new mc or gc would be fun too, maybe a new C'tan or canoptek unit.

Pariahs (which actually make more since in the new fluff than the old fluff) and a C'Tan Shard of the Void Dragon (possibly based off of the AoS Mortarch mounts?).

If I could have just one new unit, I'd take unit of berzerkers on juggernaughts or a 40k version of whatever became of grave wardens. For no other reason than rule of cool.

A Supper Heavy Grav Tank for Dark Eldar, something with a bit more punch for Apoc games.

A GMC or SH for Dark Eldar.

If I could have anything, though, it would be getting Duke Sliscus back.

One more for Juggernaut mounted Berzerkers. As it is I'm already using AoS Skullcrushers as Bloodcrusher replacements.

Most of my armies are far more in need of their fundamentals getting fixed than they are of getting new units.

But an HQ choice in Harlequins (and a Skyweaver he can hang off the back of), and a Venom/Starweaver-equivalent in Craftworld Eldar would be nice.

A complete AdMechcodex and some stuff from the other divisions like Autokrator, Myrmidons and Ordo Reductor.
Stuff like Praetorians, Protectors, artillery, tanks.....

I have this idea of some kind of Ork bubble bomb. You would target an enemy unit with it, roll for scatter. Place the 5" blast marker then add D6" for final size. the unit inside would then test for blind and concussive and if that wasn't enough. They would have to treat shooting out of that area as AV 12... Meaning if they targeted one of my units outside of the bubble they have to bust AV 12 first.
The Orks can buy it as a fast attack slot but it's a shooting type attack from orbit. Then we can charge them with out too much overwatch...

Making Bloodletters viable. Hell, even just being able to charge from Deepstrike would be awesome.

For Dark Eldar:

A Hellion style chariot with 3 hellions on skyboards chained to a venom sized chariot that imprisons and tortures enemies caught by their stun claws

Large Incubi Jump suits. About the size of a Crisis suit, with Incubi inside that basically look like giant jump pack samurai, with huge klaives. Also a ranged version with two handed heavy weapons. Think Sucker Punch.

A twin engined chariot for Incubi that decapitates people as it flies by.

A giant model of St Celestine like out of the Dawn Of War Soulstorm game. something like the size of the big models from AoS

For nids, we've got enough MCs and FMCs to last a while. I'd want a beast unit that can close distances quickly for assault. All we have are ravenors. Though if they switched hormagaunts and termagants to beast types, I'd be happy.

Sonic Dreadnaught for my EC, FW don't even sell them anymore, or at least I cant find any.

Orks-
-LoW monstrous creature character. Basically a Warboss that had become so big he is now a monstrous creature. He can have a dedicated transport but when he exits, the transport explodes as he bursts out doing radial damage(not effecting him of course). You could have all sorts of crazy Orky rulez for him

-Termite or Mole.
-Open topped Chimera. I suppose this would just be an option.

Also, maybe a larger version of the Starweaver for the Harlies, so we don't have to min-squad?

And maybe a Harlequins shooty something that has more than a 12" range and is not just a solitary model? That one might be a bit much... but I would be buying it happily.

Ork Rok. Not just a Orky Drop Pod but a proper Lord of War class Rok that deploys a large amount of models and can be customized with a load of weapons.

A melee Riptide, with WS5, S8, T8, W6, I6, A5, Ld 10, Stubborn and with TWO D-force swords!

In all seriousness, a Venom-equivalent. A fast, open-topped (or at least full of fire points) skimmer able to hold 5 to 6 people.
Oh, and some kind of jetbike with special weapons (1:3, as Eldar jetbikes were)!
