So I just finished watching this, and for the life of me I can't figure out what the feth was going on in the end. I feel like there was some kind of religious allegory going on, given the presence of different Christian and Shinto references I can recognize, and there was a Korean shaman in the film too, but I don't know jack about Korean religious traditions.

Anyone who has seen this movie have any idea what it was about XD I actually didn't find it very scary. More of a creepy ghost tale I guess, but I enjoyed it none the less.

I just finished it. 2 and a half hours...

Was weird as feth, and yeah, not particularly scary. The dream (or were they) scenes with the old Jap man when he was caught eating were creepy though.

If they do an American remake, it'll be scarier, shorter, and less goofy.

I think the moral of the story : don't trust foreigners, particularly Japanese, I think. I have no clue.

I didn't enjoy it, but I rarely enjoy Asian films.

Well the Japanese Guy seemed to be a reference to evil mountain spirits like Tengu and Ogres from Japanese Folklore.

Spoiler:
But then at the end of the film in the cave he has his palms pierced like Jesus Christ, but then he's some kind of devil or something?

I know there's something in here about religion, but for the life of me I'm completely lost what it is @_@
