This is my first attempt at making a list. It's for a Decurion Formation with a basic Reclamation Force at its core and an auxiliary Destroyer Cult

Flayed Ones 15 models - 195

There's a few builds that you can give the Destroyer Lord depending on how many points you want to spend but my favorites are either Void Reaper and Phase Shifter or Warscythe, Phase Shifter and Nightmare Shroud. Void Reaper makes him very lethal in combat while Nightmare Shroud gives a 2+ save a neat ability. You can't give him both because he can only have 1 relic. Since you already gave your Warlord the Nightmare Shround you'll have to stick with the Void Reaper.

On the other hand, you might consider a cheaper Overlord or Zhandrekh.


As for what to add to the list, You could use some melee protection. Flayed Ones might fit the bill. Or a Canoptek Harvest if you can fit that in. A Judicator Battleion might work too, providing melee defense AND a boost to your Destroyer's Shooting (via the Spider's ability) but that is much more expensive.

So I did some number crunching and I think Zahndrek is a good fit and I'll give the Destroyer Lord Void reaper and I can fit a 15 model Flayed One unit with only 4 points left

I like the basics of your list. I would drop the Ghost Arks... not only are they meh on the tabletop, they are a pain to paint.
I'd replace those 200 points with 200 points of more Tombblades. I like how you have yours equipped. An alternate would be to beef up some of the Immortal and Warriors Units.

Where are Zahndrekh and the Dlord going to start the game and end up?

I second the drop of Ghost Arks. They took a hit with the FAQ, and work well if there is a unit on the ground to support. Otherwise they're not doing much other than blocking and offering firing support.

Also put the HD's in their own squad, their high str low ap should be shooting at things different to standard destroyers imo
