Hello.

I want to play a Loremaster in my Sylvaneth army, (here's the link to the model https://www.games-workshop.com/en-AU/Loremaster-of-Hoeth) as you may see the Loremaster model doesn't fit with the theme of a Sylvaneth army. So the conversion of another model that better suited my Sylvaneth army that could be playable as a Loremaster seemed like the easiest option. So I found this guy a Wood Elf/Wanderer Nomad Prince (again a link if you're unfamiliar https://www.games-workshop.com/en-AU/Araloth). the models are similar sizes and similar poses and seem to be the perfect fit for a conversion.

So this brings us to the meat of the question. How should I convert this Nomad Prince so that he can pass as a Loremaster? Things I've thought of doing are;
- Removing his eagle and shield
- Adding a spell effect to his left hand
- Modifying his spear to be more like a long sword (shortening the spear staff to be a sword handle)

I really like the nomad prince model and want to keep it as close to the original model as possible while still passing as a Loremaster in a tournament or what have you.
So how much should I do and do you have any tips for doing it? I wanna get this right and I'm new to all this stuff so am hoping to tap into all your collective experience to help me.

inferior forces. - Sun Tzu

I say keep him as-is and just remove the shield (so he looks less like a warrior). As-is he looks like a perfect mirror of the Loremaster in Sylvaneth garb.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

All 3 of your suggestions would work. It's a great model, imo.

Have you considered turning the spear into a staff?
