This is my first attempt at using the Endless Swarm formation. It was a lot of fun and we managed to finish the game in 3 hours. Pretty decent considering the number of models I had. The Grey Knights turns were fairly short though so that helped.

My list included:
Combined Arms Detachment
Tervigon
3x Warriors w/ Rending Claws and Adrenal Glands
3x Warriors w/ Rending Claws and Adrenal Glands
Venomthrope
Venomthrope
3x Zoanthrope and 1x Nuerothrope
Trygon Prime
Endless Swarm
3x Warriors w/ Rending Claws and Adrenal Glands
3x Broods of 10x Hormagaunts w/ Adrenal Glands
3x Broods of 10x Termagants w/ Devourers

The Grey Knights included:
Nemesis Strike Force
Draigo
2x Librarians w/ Mastery level 3
10x Terminators w/ 2x Psycannons, 2x Hammers
5x Interceptors w/ incinerator
2x Dreadknights w/ teleporter, sword, psycannon and incinerator

Mission:
The Scouring (6 objectives worth victory points of 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4 randomly determined)

Powers rolled:
Zoanthropes got Onslaught and Tervigon got Catalyst... SPOILER ALERT... everything was countered except 1 cast of Onslaught, lol.
The Grey Knights rolled on Pyromancy and Telemancy? but he didn't get invisibility. Instead he got a whole lot of witchfire and malediction powers.

Deployment and turn 1:

He decided not to Deep Strike anything. Instead he advanced the Dreadknights to a position ready to pounce in the center of the board and moved his Terminators just inside psycannon range of the Hormagaunts. He fired and killed a few Hormagaunts but it was largely ineffective thanks to Venomthrope Shrouding and cover. Most of his damage came from a Pyromancy psychic power that was a large blast and ignored cover... but I don't recall the name. My turn was a whole lot of moving and running. I successfully gave Onslaught to a brood of Termagants on the left flanked that managed to kill 2 Interceptors with Devourers. The Tervigon spat out 9 Termagants and did NOT roll doubles. I used those gants to screen the Tervigon from a possible charge from the Dreadknights.

Turn 2 and 3

Draigo and Terminators shot up my Hormagaunts on the right flank but then did NOT charge the Hormagaunts. The Hormagaunts were right in front of him so I'm not sure if he just forgot or what. It ended up working in his favor though because I failed to charge with everything except the Hormagaunts, and they proceeded to get smashed in 1 round of combat, allowing Draigo and company to multi-charge my Venomthrope, Warriors and Termigants on turn 3. The Hormagaunts failed their 'Endless Swarm' check and did not come back.
On the left flank, I used the whittled down Hormagaunt brood to absorb Overwatch. Then a second Hormagaunt brood and 3 Warriors charged the Librarian and Terminators. This combat lasted for 4 rounds before all of the Terminators and the Librarian were wiped out by the end of turn 3. The Interceptors that took casualties on turn 1 decided to retreat behind some rocks to avoid getting charged. However, my Trygon Prime arrived in the middle of his deployment zone. The Trygon shot at the Interceptors and killed the incinerator. This left the Interceptors with little choice but to activate force and charge the Warriors. They managed to kill 1 but were then ripped to shreds.
1 Dreadknight had enough range with his shunt move to get behind my main synapse group. The other Dreadknight didn't have enough range so he decided to camp out in the ruins in the middle. Both Dreadknights shot at a unit of Warriors who were close to a Venomthrope. Their incinerators and psycannons managed to kill the venomthrope, 1 Warrior and deal 2 wounds to another Warrior. I then charged both Dreadknights with Termagants. The Tervigon spat out 8 more Termagants but rolled doubles. Those Termagants, and the ones that were spawned on Turn 1, proceeded to lock up the Dreadknight in the ruins for several turns.

Turns 4+

The Termagant brood that charged the flanking Dreadknight were almost killed off by my half of turn 3, so I decided to charge him with the Zoanthropes. I did this because their psychic powers were useless at this point (everything is locked in combat and his Librarians could counter anything I threw at them), however their 3++ saves would lock up the Dreadknight for some time. He decided to focus his attacks on my Zoanthropes instead of finishing off the Termagants, which was wise since the Termagants could come back. He managed to kill everything by turn 5, however the Termagants immediately returned to the battlefield.
On the left flank, all Grey Knights died, leaving both Hormagaunt broods with just 3 or 4 Hormagaunts each. The Warriors still had 2 bodies, so I kept them on an objective and far away from the reach of Draigo. I needed their synapse by the end.
My right flank completely fell apart against Draigo, a Librarian and 5 Terminators. The Termagants that he killed returned on turn 4. I brought them in from the Trygon tunnel and used them to charge the middle Dreadknight on turn 5 to keep him locked for the rest of the game. Draigo, the Librarian and the remaining Terminator split from each other to try and grab as many objectives as they could. Draigo smashed into my Tervigon and easily killed him. But Draigo then died to a swarm of Devourer fire from a fresh brood of Termagants. The Librarian attempted to shriek my Trygon but killed himself with perils. The Terminator fled into the ruins that had a 4 point objective, but my 3 remaining Hormagaunts from the left flank flew across the board and caught up to the lone Terminator and killed him.

By turn 6, all the Grey Knights were dead except 2 Dreadknights, who were going to be locked in eternal combat. The final score was Tyranids: 13 Grey Knights: 4

It was actually closer than the victory points suggest. The Tryanids only had 2 Synapse left on the board, a Trygon Prime and a brood of Warriors. If it weren't for the respawning Termagants that allowed me to throw bodies at the Dreadknights then it could have ended with the Dreadknights slaying all my synapse. It was a very fun and thematic game. It felt epic seeing the Grey Knights fight waves and waves of bugs and slowly whittle down. Draigo was a beast. I hope to finish painting this army soon and I plan to play more of it in the future. The Endless Swarm is a fun formation. I hope you enjoyed this battle report!
