I'm thinking ahead to some dedicated transport for my 30k iron warriors, and want some other opinions. I wanted to do something like they are described in angel exterminatus, where they slot together to form a barricade, but I know I'm not up to creating a decent enough template to laser cut, and if I did it with plasticard it would look naff. I still want something that looks more robust, however.

So, options are;

Settle for the Deimos.
Vindicator without the demolisher cannon. Gives extra side armour.
Stalker without the turret, extra armour all over and the buttresses to hold its position.

Which would you go for, or, do you have an alternative suggestion?

The Vindicator is a good idea, due to the giant shield on the front.

Both the Vindi and the Stalker are more robust rhino hulls. If you want something that is designed to build a wall, I’d go with the stalker though. The stabilizers that go into the ground do a better job of portraying that then just the block that is the Vindi.

I might also toss tow hooks and cables around generously.

The vindi idea is what I plan to do for my iron warrior squad.

According to Angel Exterminatus, do they 'slot' together side by side or end to end? To me, that would affect how I'd model them.

@clang they line up end to end, with a raised partition to create a wall from which the marines can take cover. I'd thought about making a template with cog teeth ends and getting them laser cut, but the IT side isn't really in my skill set. I know if I try and do it with bits it'll look orky.

From the extermination book. Looks like the vindicator might be the simplest way. Cut out the middle and put in a fw door.
