So I've begun working on a Deathrattle army for Sigmar recently that is slightly based upon the scourge from Warcraft. I'm working on making the Lich King count as a Wight King and this is what I have so far

I'm not sure what to do with his left hand. I'm going to green stuff fur around his other hand and boots later. any ideas on what I could use? I feel like just cutting away bits from a chaos warrior hand and just leaving the fist would look weird.

If you can, get some greenstuff and extend his cloak over that shoulder, covering up the hand. I think adding anything to that hand might draw attention away from the sword.

Not a Wow player, but from a modelling perspective, greenstuffing the cloak over his hand would work as mentioned above. You could also maybe use a cupped hand and have him hold a skull? Or some crystal orb? Something small enough to not draw the eye too much, but big/different enough to be interesting. An open book with some ghostly mist coming off it perhaps if the other 2 suggestions do not interest you?

The problem with the Lich King is that he's usually gesturing menacingly with the other hand, or holding the sword with both hands, so there's not much to go on for what to actually hold.

You could also make him cast some sort of spell. There's a bunch of casting hands.

If his sword wasn't so large I would have suggested him holding the scabbard in the other hand.

If you have a good fist, and a small drill, make him pointing at his next victim. Carefully cut away first finger, drill in a wire as the new pointing finger (or a toothpick tip can work), and greenstuff a thumb at the right angle. I've had some success with this. And a pointing guy is always more dangerous.
Here is an example: (ogrynn yes. But I also have a librarian just no pics)

Found a sisters figure I made the finger on: Second row.

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

Oh, dude. You point the finger and they're good as dead. Seriously.

@Elbows: Hmmm, you know, the pointing librarian always does seem to attract a lot of firepower, and usually at least one enraged close combat machine...you may be right about the finger of death thing (finger of death?!?! Great really bad martial arts movie...)

Pointing hand definately. Or maybe put a flame in his hand, closer to his chest, and change Frostmourne so it's pointing straight out, like he's marking you

Gathering the Informations.

Save the head you have, and build off of this model instead:

The polearm can be removed with very little work and the bit where it was can be drilled through and the hand reposed a bit to have a floaty skull bit from the Empire Wizard kit as a spirit being summoned, the head is separate, and the chaos sigils on the leg can be removed with a bit of knifework.
