Can anyone recommend a good airbrush paint brand that would give me a really nice semi-gloss coat in white on plastic? Don't want it too glossy, and hate flat.

I haven't tried GW's brand, but honestly their paints seems kinda flat these days.

Recently I watched a really good tutorial for Emperors Children rhinos on Next Level Painting. The guy used white with a drop of P3 Blue into. It made really good effect.

Overall painting any kind of white is pain in the ass for both airbrush/hairbrush. I suggest mix it with something like very light grey.

The formula you mix into your airbrush is Vallejo Model Air and a drop of Arcane Blue fro P3 series paint. The guy covered really nice black primed doors. Here is the whole video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NF16WTfK-QE

Paints with any white, then hit it with a satin varnish.

My preference it Tamiya acrylics.

This.
I have many paints that come out glossy when brushed on, but flat when airbrushed (the surface of the paint changes with the application method, which changes the sheen). I might prove difficult to get a get the paint you want, and you might have different results depending on the psi and airbrushing distance.
A varnish seems like a more reliable solution.

Tamiya also make a gloss white.

It's been a while since I last used it but I THINK vallejo model air white is semi-gloss.

Whatever white you end up with, thin it with lahman medium from GW. I use water for everything but white and the medium is big help.

For a white paint, I suggest Liquidtex Titanium white. It has good and goes on smooth. It's quite a bright white though so consider that when choosing a shade of white.

No, but yes. Don't use Lahmian Medium. It's just an overpriced branded version of plain ole acrylic medium. You can buy 8oz/16oz for $12/$22 or less from Amazon/your local craft store, it's called Matte Medium. But yes, it's good for thinning your paints without altering the color/acrylic properties too much.
