Greetings, my fine fellow frequenters of this fair and friendly forum!

I come bringing good tidings for anyone in or around the central Mississippi area.

The local comic and hobby shop, Van's Comics and Cards, located at 398 Highway 51 in Ridgeland, MS (Just North of Jackson, MS) is now under new management and will have open, dedicated gaming space for Warhammer 40k, Age of Sigmar, X-Wing, Classic Battletech, Board Gaming, Tabletop RPG's, and Collectable Card Gaming! Van's is the oldest comic book and game store in the Jackson Metro area, with over 20 years of service to the gaming community. The new owners are carrying on the torch of sterling customer service and are also looking to provide expanded table space and regular tabletop tournaments for multiple games, including 40k and Age of Sigmar.

There will be a meet & greet on Tuesday, September 27th at 5:00 P.M. with food provided to any who want to stop by, see the shop and meet the new owners. I will be hosting some pick up Warhammer 40k kill team games for anyone who might care to come by as well (Look for the guy with some Blood Angels and Vostroyan Firstborn making "pew! pew!" noises over on one of the tabletops! )

That said, if you live around the area and care to come hang out for a bit, feel free to come check the store out! Also, there will be multiple tournament announcements coming soon as well, once we get tables sorted and terrain ready for the boards currently being built.

Glad to see more gaming in the Southeast. I bit far to drive from Huntsville, but good news either way.

Just a quick reminder for any in the central MS area that there will be a Meet & Greet at Van's Comics and Cards tomorrow afternoon starting at 5:00 P.M. and running till the business closes at 10:00 P.M.

There will be food provided, and demo games being played, including Warhammer 40,000 killteam games run by yours truly.

How did the meet and greet go? I would have loved to have attended but work prevented it I do plan on making a pilgrimage up that way very soon though!

it went well! Only had a handful of people playing killteam at the event, but had more than double that number buying models, watching, talking, and asking questions.

It was sort of impromptu but was a lot of fun. Future events will have a lot more lead up for them.

I hope to see you up there, and if you want to PM me on here to let me know you're on the way ahead of time, I can try and meet up with ya there if I'm off work. Sundays are turning in to the default tabletop/40k day, but the tabletops are up every day for people to use.
