The closest i can think of is in one of the "Path of the" dark eldar series books where the one dude is either possessed by a keeper of secrets or becomes a daemon prince. It never really says which one, if i recall correctly. More likely a keeper, IMO.

As for be'lakor, i have never read anything that spoke of his race before ascension.

Well, in fantasy Belakor was the Dark Lord of Mordheim and may be was related to the Old World in some way (multiverse). May be he was an elder or an eldar, but does matter?
