For those unfamiliar with Chicago Skimirsh Wargames club, we tend to focus on a variety of fantasy and sci-fi rulesets. We are all lovers of the "Spectacle of painted armies clashing" and we strive for painted, visually inspiring gaming.

Nice to see you back to blogging. So what was the reason you switched to forums away from the old blog? I'd ask what you were up to in the meantime but you've got that covered in your first posts.

It's good to be blogging again.

As for the absence and switch, the old blog was the baby of a member who moved to Oregon and it happened around the same time we started a club forum when yahoo groups got increasingly weird and we shut down our yahoo group. It took us a year to finally get around to starting a new blog. One of our members took on the thankless task of starting the new blog, creating some connectivity with our new forum and importing all the previous blog posts.

Anyone interested in the club is welcome to join the forum but of course viewing the blog is open to all regardless of interest or geographical location.
