Is the terminator Librarian in the dark vengeance in terminator armor, or do I have to get some bits to upgrade him, if so what do I need?

Dark Vengeance has a Librarian but he's NOT in terminator armour and I'd say that would be a near impossible conversion.

Better off starting first with a terminator model - then making him into a Librarian.

There is no Terminator Librarian in Dark Vengeance, only a Dark Angel Librarian in Power Armour unique to that set:



I recommend that you buy this model instead if you're looking to make a Terminator Librarian.

It’s one thing to chop a guy in half and put him on a bike, or stick a jump pack on him, but if you want to go with terminator armor, you really need to start with that as a base.

Turning power armour into terminator armour would be a hell of an undertaking even for someone with brilliant sculpting skills.

Cant I kust put the guys head in a terminator body?

He wouldn't look much like a Terminator Librarian, since they have many items on their armour that attribute them as Librarians, but yes, you can.

One thing to bear in mind is that the Dark Vengeance models are not constructed in the way a normal box of GW marines are. The head, arms, weapons, etc are not seperate parts. See if you can find a picture of the sprues and have a look at them - they're put together in premade poses, so you might get a leg, torso arm, and the front of a head as one solid part. Taking that librarian's head off wouldn't be a simple task, I'm afraid.

Yep...damn hard to cut the head out of a model like that. No one is going to mind too much if you create a terminator librarian but he should be identifiable as such (painted correctly, armed with the weapons indicated in the codex etc.).

There is a Librarian and a squad of Terminators, you could get away with a conversion of the Sargent, but that leaves you with a squad that's unfieldable, loyalist termies are minimum squads of 5, and the sarge has a power sword and a storm bolter. A standard power armor character can be upgraded to have termi armor, but that doesn't mean adding termi bits to power armor, what it means is you have a separate character in termi armor that you use in place of a model in power armor.

There is also the option of the standard Space Marine Librarian in Terminator Armor unless you are trying to avoid him:

I do not think it would be too hard to Greenstuff a hood onto his head, and a bunch of transfers would make him look quite Dark Angels like.

I'd be up for the challenge if someone were to send me a terminator champion and DV librarian .
