The latest resource from the Klingon Civil War OP1 was leaked on the Facebook page. Here is .

A couple things here- this is about to become the "MUST HAVE" card of the game. For 5 Squad Points(SP), and remember, the points spent on resources don't count towards the maximum points you can spend on a ship, you get +1 Hull or +1 Shield, so that's 2 SP right there, you gain +1 Captain Skill which so far has been about a 5 SP upgrade from an Admiral or other upgrade card, AND you get to assign another Captain to the same ship, and BOTH Captains may use their abilities as normal on a ship. And you get all this for 5 SP. That's incredibly good!

You don't get extra actions or free actions with this card, but what you can do is carefully select a second Captain that has passive abilities or grants free actions in addition to your other Captain and ship. Could this be expensive? Sure, you are spending more points to get the second Captain on your ship, but you can take all those lesser Captains that have a CS of 1-4, and great abilities, but the CS 1-4 makes you shy away from ever taking them. Now you can, and you can place them on a ship with a great Captain.

This is a huge came changing card!

It is a minimum 6point investment (5 for resources and at least a 1 point captain) bit there could be some huge benefits there. This could be a fun one.

As great as this sounds, I just can't come up with a combo of captain skills that justifies the points.

As said a low level captain with a great skill, added to a higher level captain should change things up. But there are cheaper ways to raise a captains skill, such as klingon crew word (+3) fed crew riker (+3) or mirror universe elim garak (+2) not to mention admirals and security officers.

Two good passive abilities is what would make this worth it, but which two.......

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.

WORF issued a ruling yesterday on Fleet Commander. So lit will count towards the ships 50 points, plus some other stuff.

From WORF

"-The Fleet Commander resource is assigned to the ship it is affecting and counts against the 50 point limit for that ship.
-If a Captain assigned to your ship is discarded or moved to another ship, immediately discard the Fleet Commander resource and decrease your hull or shields (whichever you selected to increase with the resource) by one.
-When building your fleet, the Captain with the highest printed Skill Number is your Primary Captain. If two or more of the Captains have the same printed Skill Number, you must choose one to be the Primary Captain for the entire game. When any card, including this one, affects your Captain, it must affect the Primary Captain first.
-If an Admiral or any card that may replace your captain is assigned to your ship and one of your two Captains is discarded or disabled, the Admiral or card does not become a Captain. Admirals or card that may replace captains only become a Captain if there are no other Captains on your ship.
-Borg Drone tokens are only assigned to the primary Captain (the highest printed skill) when building your fleet. Your secondary Captain may not gain Borg Drone Tokens.

-Please note, Gareb and the Romulan Drone Pilot may not be assigned by this card."

I like that they cleared up a few questions around this card, but the bit that you lose the card if your "primary" captain is discarded or moved to another ship seems a bit harsh. The last bullet
Your secondary Captain may not gain Borg Drone Tokens.
makes some sense, but does that Borg Captain START with any Borg Drone Tokens, and do all the Borg Tokens make a "pool" to draw from, or are they separated for each Captain?

I think this is the first resource that actually counts against a ship, and I think I'd rather see some other Resources count towards a ship maximum before this one.

Nice to see WORF isn't dead yet.

Likewise I am glad they cleared it up. However I don't see why the Borg needed the Extra ding on the drone Tokens. If anything the secondary captain should add 1 drone token. Oh well glad they addressed it anyway.
