I was wondering that has anyone tried to play a bigger game like 1850points with only a SM scouts army.

With CAD and sanguinary priest & 10man scouts squads with +5p upgrades (snipers or melta bomb) you could get over 130 models of scouts. With their infiltrate and scout ability you could atleast swarm the tactical objectives and with enough bodies cause some damage. Could this kinda horde list be anyway competetive or just a pure laugh. Or was there a limit for CAD's on a list? like max 3 detachments?

There is no BRB limit on how many of the same formation you can take. Local metas (especially tournaments) can change that.

I've run an 1850 list with 4 CADs using Space Wolves. They were fun and it let me use a unit I literally never take minus for formation tax. Fought a footslogging Gretchin army and my guys died horribly due to pure numbers.

I want to run an 1850 list with it was either 15 or 17 shokk attack gunz. It would be bound and composed of 7 big meks 7 gretchin units, and 8-10 junkas with shokk attack gunz. It would probably be aweful but with that many you are bound to get a few double 6s right?

Canoptek Harvest + CAD with 9 Spyders and 2 Units of Scarabs.

Use all 10 Spyders to add to the Canoptek Harvest's Scarab Swarm. You end up with a swarm that grows 10 bases a turn, and give it reanimation prootocols.
