The last HH novel I read was Scars and Im looking to jump back into it.

Two provisos:
Im not interested in the anthology books - a few Ive read have been very good but am looking to catch up on the main story.
Im also not interested in the "off shoot" stories - like the one where Chaos attacks the Knight Titan world or the Sallies battle some weird beasts on a planet.

What would you guys recommend picking up to drive the main story arc along?

Not quite main plotline if you Horus's drive to Terra, but I really liked Deliverance Lost. It was one of the HH books with actual decent writing and it has some good intrigue elements.

I prefer to buy from miniature manufacturers that *don't* support the overthrow of democracy.

Angels of caliban was a solid one, it actually makes descent and angels and fallen angels feel relevant after rreading it

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two
