Hi people !

I just discovered this list (on BoLS) and I wondered if it would be a good idea on the table. I'm not a pro when it comes to death star, so I have zero idea of its value.

List looks pretty solid! Only thing I would really suggest is if you want a fluffier version of this list I suggest opting out the khorn daemonkin and instead add a whole bunch of chaos spawn! Those things can be brutal in a deathstar and with high strength and toughness can be stronger than the dogs. Also for fluffyness exchange nurglings for pink horrors and there you have it. The fluffiest of tzeench CSM lists.

Honestly Im not sure which would be stronger but I would imagine your list min-maxes allowing for the best results.

I have been a Daemon player for a while now, although now just coming back into the game so take my criticism at face value as I may now be way off my rocker, but I can see a few problems with the list.

My largest concern is being able to spread enough of the goodies around to protect all the units you need to live. (You miss a power, fail grim, table terrain, etc.)
This version of the Cabal seems to have very little in the terms of redundancy. 6x Screamers can get tied up for a very long time if all of a sudden you only have 3-4 left. 10x Hounds may be vulnerable to an alpha-assault and the hitting power and protection for the sorcerers go way down.

Also, because you are using the sorcerers and the heralds to cast almost all of your buff powers, with them being a two wound mode, things become a little scary when you need to cast 7-8 dice to ensure a pass.

My suggestion is to try and minimize the risk the Sorcerers have to take, while still having them retain their usefulness, this can be by adding pink horrors (recommended squad size 11, so you get 2x warp charges and force your opponent to focus them for at least a turn with something to reduce your warp dice.) to use extensively towards summoning,

Next, I do not see an absolute reason for all of the specialized war-gear. Black Mace is nice, but AP4. 1x Melta-Bomb seems limited in its usefulness. Locus of Wrath seems redundant when Fatey can get Pres 100%. Bloodletters seem to slow for the list itself. Nurglings, although cheap could be replaced by much more useful pink horrors.

Black Mace becomes AP 2 if you roll Iron Arm on Biomancy. That's probably why.

Don't rely on that, though.

I made a similar list (haven't tried it yet) but if you drop the the juggernaut, demote 'Letters to cultists, replace one bike with jump pack, and drop one bike off a sorc, drop the black mace and lose one ML from the grim sorc it affords you the points to bump the hounds to 19. Absolutely worth it in my opinion. You lose a little mobility by having foot characters in there but the footprint is such that it's not a big deal. You really need to be able to take a hit and still have enough punch left to retaliate. That said, it's still susceptible to alphas from certain armies depending on you're ability to hide the hounds turn 1.
