There are a couple of YouTube battle reports also explaining the game system. Filming a video of a game would require a lot of editing as the average game is 2.5 hours long. There are terrain placement rules with the game. Winning the "Terrain Battle" is like gaining 20% combat edge. It works like this.
Both sides dice off, adding their initiative values. Initiative values range from 0 to 6, counting Generals pluses and Light Cavalry numbers.
High roller decides if he will attack or defend.
If attacking, he must select a terrain type from the defenders list.
They are Plains, Forest, Mountains, Steppes and Desert.
If defending, he selects a terrain type from his own list.
The defender gets a free piece of terrain depending on the Terrain Type. For Plains it is a ploughed field. For Mountains it is a steep hill. Then the defender picks 2-4 additional pieces from a list. The attacker then picks 2-4 from the same list.
There are dice rolls for where the terrain is placed. Then another set of dice rolls for adjustment of the terrain.
So, potentially there could be 9 pieces on the board.
