Yo.
Some 30k entries which can be used in 40k have the Relics of the Armoury rule which states in order to use more than one relic, a Codex:SM army needs to take a Master of the Forge. Now... there's no such unit named like this. There's a Techmarine in the Codex, but that's probably not what I'm looking for. Can someone point me to whatever I'm missing?

Master of the forge was the name of hq tech marines in the 6ed codex when those fw rules were written in 6ed

The usual answer you'll get from Forgeworld is to use the next closest thing available to fulfill the requirement.

"Through the darkness of future past, the magician longs to see.
One chants out between two worlds: Fire, walk with me."
- Twin Peaks
"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks

FW put out an faq when the new BA codex came out saying to use a chaplain instead of a reclusiarch. So like tannhauser said just use the next closest unit in your case the new hq techmarine.

... You can still take Conversion Beamers - they just combined the "Techmarine" and "Master of the Forge" entries into a single "Techmarine" entry. So for the FW rule about Relics of the Armoury, there's no longer a "Master of the Forge" unit to qualify. The same for Blood Angels ("Reclusiarch" vanished). Currently I believe the only ones who it works for are Dark Angels (Interrogator Chaplains) and possibly Space Wolves (presumably an Iron Priest?).

Hmm interesting, can all techmarines take it? I dont see the option for my dark angels guy, unless dark angels dont get the fancy conversion beamer
