I could not find the answer to this question by searching on the forums.

When you upgrade a centurion to be a chaplain you gain a Crozius (power weapon) along with the upgrade.

Now, if you decide to replace that power weapon for a power fist, are you discounting the value of the power weapon?

The way I am reading the rules right now are:

Centurion has a chainsword/combat blade and bolt pistol
Chaplain has a Crozius Arcanum has part of the upgrade, but never replace either of the above.

You can then replace either of the centurion's weapon for a power fist.

End result: You have a chaplain that has both a Crozius and Power Fist.

Am I reading this right or is this completely different and I am missing something?

Where ever the Emperor needs his eyes

You would pay full price to replace the Power Weapon with the Power Fist.

If you replaced the Bolt Pistol or CCW with the fist then yes, you could have a Fist and Power Weapon (and Volkite Charger as they dont replace anything)

That is not bad then for an emperor's children chaplain.

You can have both a phoenix spear and a crozius.

Attack at str 5 ap 2 on the charge and at str 6 ap 4 or str - ap3 on subsequent rounds.
It gives a lot of flexibility and all those attacks are at initiative.

yes right now, terminator armor basically sucks for characters in 30k.

As terminators aside from the chaplain cant get 2 CCW and a character in power armor/artificer armor can as well as have a ranged wpn.

Just like the demon summoning terminator model they released, rules as written you cant play the model as it has a power axe and a lightning claw----I cant find anywhere in the red book that allows a terminator consul to be equipped like that...

only a chaplain with burning lore from WB is the only way you can use the model with current rules without modifying it...so very stupid on FW part.
