Hey guys I need a terrain set for my Kingdom of Heaven mat from Gamemat.eu, my goal is to build one and have it finished in time for Beer and Pretzel Open (local tournament on November 5th). I want to build this terrain set so it can be used for both 40k and AoS. I have given myself a budget of $200 for everything included.

The mat looks as follows:

So far I have got material for the four columns that will go one the four corner squares. Basically wooden plinths and a pringle can, on top of each column will be magnetized statue (one each for 40k and AoS) so it can change depending on the game. I have to figure out how to add texture to the pringle cans so they are not obviously chip containers haha, any ideas on this would be appreciated.

If you have any ideas or suggestions at all for additional pieces for this table, please let me know.

Thanks!

Cost Tally:
4x Pingle Cans - Free (came with chips )
8x Wood Plinths - $15

Total: $15
Remaining Budget: $185

Printing a marble texture and sticking the paper to the cans will both cover up the spiral that gives it away as pringles and give you a nice texture.
You can cover up the seam with gold filigree and match it at 120 degrees to give three vertical metalwork dealies.
Spray or paint this kind of sticker gold:

You could cut your own trim with scissors, in fact there's craft scissors which will cut crennelations or spiked lines for you. You'll want to have the wooden Base and trim painted before you attach them to the printed paper though.

Rather than decorating the Pringles tubes it might be a lot easier to buy a load of Roman Cake Pillars. They are only a couple of dollars each :-)

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Hey guys thanks for all the tips.

I am going to get some textured spray paint for fit my issues with the tubes, you can buy stone style which gives it a stony texture.

I am also going to cut about 1/3 off the length as they are just to tall.

As for the Walmart roman cake holders, they will be used, just not as the big pillars.

Update coming next week!

Update! A new building has been added. Pegasus Hobbies small building. This will be on the table as a normal piece of LOS blocking terrain. A roof will be added as well as all windows in the building being bordered shut.

I think the middle piece is going to be a large Pegasus hobbies building but left open just kinda of bordering walls. So if anyone has some extra for sale let me know!
