Hi guys

I am currently on the look out for a cat miniature as i want to paint one up as a gift for a friend who likes cats. I'm after something round the size of a 28mm horse while still looking like a house cat though not necessarily realistic.
I had a quick look at reaper and couldn't find something, and don't know where else to look as I'm not that familiar with mini company's

Does anyone know of something that'll work or a company that might make something?

If you want a cat the size of a horse but in 28mm then you probably actually want a 54mm model which has a cat in it.

Although it comes with a bikini lady too. Might be a bit too panthery though. But searching for 54 mm models is probably more likely to get you something that looks like a domestic cat since anything in 28mm that size will be a giant cat!

I actually saw the helsing cat before, while its not what I'm after I'll probably get it any way as its cool.

I have been wanting to get into sculpting and this might be a good opportunity.

Also ask on the Reaper forums. They paint a wider range of mini's than Dakka, so might find a miniature (not necessarily a Reaper miniature) you might like.

Also, something tells me Malifaux would have a cat somewhere in its lineup --- though probably more appropriate 28mm scale.

Had a look through malifaux stuff and found the Hoarcat Pride which while they are a bit on the small side there are three of them which could work.

On Reaper look under Animal Companions, Felines, and/or Familiars (latter will be very small, like realistically small housecat)

Hoarcat pride is a good choice tho too, they're nice minis.
