I have inventoried 10+ year old paint and ink. Mostly Citadel and Armory stuff.
I added water to some and awaiting results. Has anyone used acrylic medium with these types of paints?

I have used it with the small tubes of craft paint from Michaels, AC Moore, etc. and found it had good results without changing colors.
Thank you

Once the paint drys its done. Acrylic means acrylic. There is litterally plastic in the paint. It has chemicals called surfactants that help evaporate out the water in the paint leaving the plastic, pigments, and gloss agdnts behind. Once it's dry you are basically looking at a hunk of plastic. Water will bead up and run off it. Its dead jim.

Yeah, if they are dried, you are out of luck. If they still have some liquid in them, just really thick, you might be able to bring them back with matte medium. Water wont work for what you want though.

Help me, Rhonda. HA!

Sure. Just hit the arts and craft store, and buy some medium. I used airbrush medium and water, but matte medium and more water should work fine. Also, get those cocktail stirrers, plastic forks, and chopsticks you saved from take out. You're gonna need a lot of them for stirring!

Medium btw is just paint wirhout pigment. It has all the chemicals and gloss agents. Just no color
