What sponcers and upgrades are good for the above mentioned tank and why. I've seen lists going for lascannon and heavy bolters, or three heavy bolters. I've even seen a post saying go multi melta because its broken. I'm a new player and want the above for my HQ of choice.

Also what is a good tank to take as Pask's partner and how should I gear them out?

I ran him with bolters because his job is to mow down infantry or light vehicles with weight of fire. The heavy bolter adds to this function.

I used to take the executioner because of preferred enemy, but now that it does not allow re rolling the gets hot I'm not so sure. I'm also looking for an answer for that.

lascannon multi-melta. Pask Punisher is so strong that it is already capable of killing heavy av14 vehicles, MCs and super heavies that those extra melta shot makes it great against every target in the game instead of only against light vehicles and infantry (which s0 S5 redning shots is already going to demolish, you don't need more heavy bolters that is over kill)

MM + LC is my preference also.

Thanks. I'm going for versatility mm lc. What about his partner though? I've seen one vote on the exuicutioner, why is this so?

Pask's warlord trait (Prefered Enemy) works really well with executioners because it lets you reroll the plasma's get hot test and arguably also let you reroll the scatter for shooting blast weapons (but the draft FAQ put a stop to this)

People used to interpret the "preferred enemy" rule as meaning that you could re-roll gets hot rolls for plasma blast weapons, so this used to be a popular combination. However, they then FAQed it and said that this was not the case.

I run Pask as others have recommended here, i.e. lascannon and multi-melta, plus a heavy stubber for plinking off an extra wound here and there. Heavy bolters are not a bad choice as it's even more anti-infantry dakka, but it's a bit of a waste of his crack shot rule. For these reasons a hunter-killer missile is also a good investment if you have the points left over.

IMHO an Eradicator tooled up for anti-infantry is the most points-efficient buddy tank for him.

Both tanks should have dozer blades (due to the short range of Pask's main gun) and camo nets (because Pask is a fire magnet).

Honestly one option that can put out a scary amount of damage is the Punisher. Remember he gives his tanks a different ability depending on what variant you run and the punisher is a 20 shot BS 4 with Rending and because it's Pask you get Preferred Enemy.

Pask in a Punisher Squadron is amazing, however the downside is the 24in range on the main gun, but that's what trip HB sponsons are for.

I used to run him with a HB eradicator - the best lr variant out there imo.

I'm in the pask punisher with LC+MM camp, it will kill what it shoots at. Also camo nets and a dozer blade are a must in my book as even a small increase in survivability is great when you have so many points invested in him.

Speaking to that, I like the TL auto cannon variant to run as his buddy run bare bones. The autocannon has decent range and can take on a good variety of targets which pairs well with the the fact that pask will be taking on different things each turn and the split fire order can fail (often if you're me) or you might choose a different order. But the main reason for running it is because it's cheap and pask's squadron mate(s) are there for one reason and that is to absorb fire for him. when firing at a squadron the closes model always takes damage first so use careful positioning and make sure the second tank is always closer to the enemies that can hurt them, if possible position it so pask will be gaining a cover save from the wreak of the first tank when it goes down. One thing is certain when running pask and that's he will be shot so use his buddies to protect him.

Lascannon, HB's and a Heavy Stubber. He dishes out so much pain that it's almost comical. Deploy him right, and you can have him obliterate a unit in the first turn, albeit that's tricky.

LC + MM. An Exterminator with LC MM is a solid choice for his squadmate.

For the squadron-mate, depends on how you kit pask, and how many russes are to be in the squadron.

1 extra russ and full-bolter paskisher: vanquisher with hull las and sponson melta, tank orders let you split fire, so set them for separate targets.

2 extra and doesn't matter, vanquisher with las and exterminator or erradicator, with las and plas or heavy flamers. Erradicator is great for light vehicles that can jink(and pask is great against light vehicles in full bolter) and either sponson also trashes infantry.

Overkill pask(las and melta) should go with erradicator above for 1 tank, and erradicator and exterminator with las and plas for the second extra.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

I run him with 3 heavy bolters, a stubber, Dozer blades, and camo. His partner is an Exterminator with 3 heavy bolters, camo, and Dozer blades. I like this load out because it allows them to start shooting turn one and if they fail the split fire order it's not a big deal. It's not as good against heavy vehicles as the MM/LC version, but it will erase entire squads of guys and anything AV 12 and under in one shot. My list contains 2 squads of mounted meltaguns veterans, a mounted PCS with meltaguns, and a Vendetta so killing heavy armor isn't Pask's job. He's there to stack about 25 wounds per turn on enemy foot troops or MC's.
