I recently bought a copy of the Kill Team rules in the ePuB format from black library. This is my first electronic rules purchase, I bought it and downloaded it to my Samsung Galaxy S6. What then followed is a confusing world of trying to find a reader that would even try to make it's format manageable, if even readable. I found even the best reader could only make the entire document clunky and unmanageable at best, and had issues like graphics not having text in them. Being more of a desktop oriented person I decided to send the file to my personal email with the intent of opening it with something that I can get a printable copy with (because the idea is to be portable). The two free readers that were recommended are both as bad as my the readers on my phone, oversizing and overlapping text, no text on pictures, same issues.

I found a reader for the computer that displays the file as-intended to be read (I assume), however trying to print it is resulting in either a tiny page in 25% of the paper and any adjustment makes the printer do weird things with the file that makes the printed copy not readable.

What do I have to do to read this file? What device do I need? Or, (preferably) how do I print the document fit-to-page style without the use of Print Screen and an image editor?

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

My solution for epubs has always been to just convert them to pdfs. I admit I just have a desktop so I'm not on the reader craze.

The program I use is called calibre and it'll read epub or convert the file format as needed.

I prefer to buy from miniature manufacturers that *don't* support the overthrow of democracy.

I use Samsung phones myself, and I just use Google Play Books. Never had any scaling issues for my epubs, and they sync across all devices, even my laptop, so I can open them with Chrome apps.

Welcome to the fethed up world of GW digital. So, you need something that reads EPUB3 files, not just epub. I think Apple just recently switched to being able to read it right, just for a reference on how not common this format is on devices. The app that is most used is Readium through Google Chrome. You won't have a problem with that. For other apps, remember, the file format is EPUB3 specifically.

I used to use Nook for ePub books, but Kill Team is one word per page.
Kobo works on my Samsung Galaxy 7.
Adobe Digital on my PC.

Copy-paste doesn't work well, but screenshots mess up the readability.

For Android, we recommend Kobo or Gitden. Both are compatible with ePub and Mobile/Tablet editions.

For Windows phones, we recommend Kobo, which is compatible with ePub and Mobile editions.

For Windows tablets and PCs, we recommend Azardi or Kobo.

Google Play Books has always worked for me, it just won't open anything over 100MB, which only came into play for HH red books for me. For those, I use Kobo.

Edit: Google Play Books opens my Kill Team rulebook just fine.
