Guys,

I'm playing in a campaign and i'm facing a planetstrike game as the defender. 1500 points. I'm playing Iron Hands. I'm not sure how to handle this. My opponent is a Corsairs player, and will most likely be bringing a bunch of hornets and a super heavy that they have listed as a heavy. He will also be bringing some jetbikes and a big squad with a prince and stuff that I assume he'll try to assault with in turn 1.

I'm thinking of deploying a ton of armor and then bringing in grav devs and centurions as a second wave.

I have:
3 vindicators
1 sicaran
6 rhino/razor/whirlwind
5 drop pods
3 librarians
2x5 devs with grav cannons
3 grav centurions
1 of the new marine flyers
15+ bikes
3 land speeders
2 landspeeder storms
3 scouts with snipers
1 landraider
10 sternguard vets
50 regular marines, with variety of heavy and special weapons.
1 contemptor
1 ironclad
1 regular dread
10 assualt marines

We are sticking to the force org in the book.

I am usually pretty good at planning but have no idea what to do.

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

Deploying heavy weapons in buildings is probably the best tactic, as well as deploying your tanks in the middle of several pieces of terrain. This helps prevent your opponant from deep striking, charging and immediately crippling your shooty units.
It is also a good idea to deploy the terrain to one side of the board in order to force your opponant to deep strike into a 'kill zone'.

As for what you should take: lots of slow, heavy units with lots of fire power to sit on the objectives and slowly mow your opponant down.
