The last three scion squads will ride in the valkyries, I might drop one of the special weapons in the scion squads just for more volume of fire?

As a general rule, is better not mix and match weapons with different purposes.

Better decide that a given squad is dedicated to anti tank, and give them 2 meltas.. and so on.

Are all those valkyries needed? I was wondering if is possible to add Tauroxes on the troops and use them as additional objective takers.

I think I will drop them down to one special weapon per squad, and have half melta half plasma squads, I think. I like the Valkyries because they seem to bring more long range fire power over the Taurox, correct me if I'm wrong.

1) At 1000, where is the Commissar going to hide?

2) I perceive a lack of anti-tank at low points

3) What is the target of a squad with both Hot-shots and plasmas?

The hot shot is just the regular las gun, not the volley gun. I'm not sure on the Commissar, I can stick him in a Taurox from the Command Squad? You're right about the lack of anti tank, I can drop the volleys in the command squad for the higher points list and put plasma in them, and add Meltaguns to the Scion Squads. Suicide them against tanks and they come back as long as my Commissar lives. I've done some points rearranging to drop Vox and Med in the 1500+ lists from the Hellrain command squads, and using the points for a Ordo Xenos Inq with Rad Grenades, PA, ML1, Force Sword, and 3x Servo Skulls.

The Commissars all hide in the Valkyrie and sit there all game, your warlord is the Commissar from the CAD for the warlord trait re-roll (you want to get Grave Chute Commandos if at all possible). If you fear many tanks, put the meltas in the respawning Scion squads, if not so many tanks leave as is. You use your respawning Scions super aggressively while the command squads deepstrike midfield into cover and setup their volleyguns. Hopefully the other Scions drop into order range of the Command squads for orders and clarion vox net.

You also have total flexibility with your Taurox weaponry; outfit them for whatever you are facing. If you drop the missile launchers on them for a cheaper upgrade, consider then adding heavy bolters to the Valk, or a medipack to the command squads (anything to keep those orders flowing longer is good)

Going up to 1500, increase the size of your re spawning Scion squads to 10 men each, kit out your command squads a bit more, add more flyers to your CAD (Vultures if you have them!) and consider adding another command squad to the CAD + more 5 man scion squads, or a Bunker/ADL with comms relay for reserve control. If your Taurox are fitted for long range fire they can sit behind the ADL for a 3+ save.

So you're advice is to focus on maxing that recycle of scions from Hellrain by increasing the size?

In my mind the more points you invest into those squads the better, because you are bringing back more points when they die. If they are wiped out a couple times, and they are 180 point squads, you can see just how many extra points you are bringing to the battle each time reinforcements arrive. It becomes a war of attrition, but you are using very deadly troops to do it.

I love that, I wrote a modified list using the one you gave me, it's 95% the same, I just moved points around and gave myself room for an Ordo Xenos with Servo Skulls to help the DS.

Which is an excellent idea too. If you roll the grav chute commando WL trait you'll be deep striking with 0 scatter within 12" of a skull! Then you just drop the Hellrain squads right into their face and basically force the enemy to deal with them. Then you bring more men in next turn.
