So, I've decided its finally time to move on and get a second army.

For too long I followed a single battle strategy, and as much as I love my (still growing though already oversized) army, I need some diversity in order to keep things fresh.

So, as my main army is Tau Empire (Farsight enclaves style), I want to look at another direction. Namely, to do all the things my Tau does not.

What I want from the army is:
Psykers. Tau has none, I want some.
Melee. Again, an aspect of the game I'm not currently feeling.
Endurace. Other than big suits, most tau are as fragile as it gets. I want an army that can take a pounding and keep going.
Diverse. I want to be able to pick lots of different units, while still being casually decent. not single unit spam.

Currently, Im thinking one of the following codices

1-Gray knights. rather obvious, the psykermarines with force weapons all around and terminator troops. too obvious even.
2-Daemons. probably tzeentch focus. though I'm not big into the whole summoning aspect or FMC spam and that's their thing, especially not for a secondary army.
3-KDK. misses on psykers, but the blood tithe gives a cool effect, and the melee focus is a good flip.
4-Eldar. covers psyker powers, but lacks endurance.
5-Black Legion. the dark crusade detachment is nice, flexible and allows you to mess around. And you can easily push psykers with cabals.
6-Wait for the possibly upcoming 1ksons codex, maybe they'll fit the bill.

Thoughs?

I'd go Daemons. They're about as different as you can get: no shooting, tons of Psychic, lots of big tough creatures, and almost all melee.

I would wait to see what 1ksons looks like.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.
