So, I tend to run my thunderwolf cavalry with Frost Swords and Storm Shields.. But I was curious if anyone else had any good ideas on how to equip them?

Two of them with stormshields. Of those stormshields one is the leader with a regular CCW, the other carries a thunderhammer. The remaining one is either bare-bones or with a twin wolfclaw.

Might be better suited in tactics section.

To many unpainted models to count.

From a Tzeentch daemon point of view: the stormshields are invaluable, but you can get away with only taking those on a few models and tanking with them. Mixing in some S10 (not sure where you get it from) helps against MC's and vehicles.

A squad kitted out like can (and has) killed almost 2000pts of my daemons before, including 2 daemon princes (no iron arm though), a LoC with staff and a summoned KoS. He lost like half the squad while the rest of his army watched from objectives.

Depending on your local meta I would always go power fists over a thunderhammers. Why spend 5 points on concussive when you are going to destroy most enemy models with 1 round of combat anyway?

@op
I usually pack at least 2 shields, 1-2 fists, and the rest wolf claws. I'm not sure why you would ever buy a frost sword when you can get claws with the same profile + shred for the same points.

Frost Sword isn't a specialist weapon so if you have a pistol or CCW in the other hand you get +1 attack. The Wolf Claw is usually the smarter pickup though and if your using Storm Shields then the specialist weapon downside is a non factor.

Personally I like to run a TWC unit with a 2+ armor character (Iron Priest or Wolf Lord/Battle Leader) go in front tanking shots while I have the nearest model to him with a chainsword + Storm Shield model to look out sir AP2 or instant death attacks. Rest of the unit is filled out with the squad leader having a Wolf Claw + SS and while the 3rd is a Power Fist.+ pistol in the back. I tend to not run giant TWC blobs as I rather have multiple smaller units.

Because I'm also keeping theme in mind.

I usually will pack all with stormshields and half with powerfist excluding the leader. I don't leave to chance if the ap2 wounds go to the guy without the shield. I would love to have a squad with twin wolf claws but missing the shield is too risky and with the fist being just 5 points more than a single claw it doesn't seem to worth it.
