Hey guys, starting chaos daemons and looking to build a mobile aggressive list with a strong magic backbone. I am trying to avoid the typical screamerstar, fateweaver and other typical builds.

CAD

Lord of change, impossible robes, level 3
Herald of tzeentch, level 3, disc

3 units of 16 horrors
3 units of 5 fleshhounds

Flayertroupe formation

Herald of slaanesh, level 2, steed of slaanesh
6 units of 3 fiends

Total 1842

I have some points left over but not sure how to take it up to 1850.
The plan is aggression, weight of numbers, summoning, and board control with multiple fast units. I thought about screamers instead of hounds, but I could get more hounds for the points.

I would appreciate the thoughts daemon players because I have not used them before. Thanks guys.

Personally I prefer to play 6 units of daemonettes rather than fiends, fiends have the unfortunate nature of having multiple wounds and an incredibly low toughness, meaning your fiends can be wiped off the table pretty easily by any high strength weapons, especially blasts can wipe over 100 points and all you get is 5+ save. Compare that to daemonettes and you get 10 5+ saves for each wound and they often get more attatcks on the charge per unit. Just food for thought

Cheers thank for that. I was tossing it up between the Flayertroupe with fiends or murderhorde with dogs. I went for the fiends because they are more mobile than the Daemonettes. Should I just go for the dogs instead?

dogs would probably be the better option, even though I hate to say so as a patron of slannesh
