As the title says i want to build a 1500 Points Chaos Army around Archaon.

My Problem is i have no clue, how i should build the army around him. I need 2 Battleline Units and as he synergizes well with Hero Command Abilities i have to look for them.

I think Archaon himself works best in a Nurgle or Khorne Shell, maybe in a Slaanesh.

So here is my first attempt:

Leaders
Archaon (700)
- General
Chaos Sorcerer Lord (140)
- Normal
Great Unclean One (240)
- Artefact: Chaos Talisman

Units
Plaguebearers Of Nurgle x 10 (100)
Plaguebearers Of Nurgle x 10 (100)


Total: 1280/1500

So GUO can heal Archaon with his Plaguewind and use is semigood Commandability. Plaguebearers are in there cause they are cheap and resiliant. 220 Points can be used for summoning etc.

Do you have some suggestions?

You should think about to add some shooting units.
Im not the biggest fan of these summoning rules.
just add a 220 point unit like Plague drones and use your first spell for casting a mystic shiel.

Are there any cheap shooting Units for Chaos? Mabye some Flamers but they are quite expansive.

Is the rest of the Army okay? Should i change anything?

drones are quit good if there is a plaguebearer hero next to them.

One of my favourites is the skaven plageclaw for 180 points.

This would maybe solve your shooting problem
