Hi Everyone,

Trying to round out my Alpha Legion and not really sure where to grow it. Here's what I have right now.

-Autilon Skorr
- Praetor with volkite and hammer
- Calth Pareto
- Calth Chaplin (always proxied as the saboteur
- Converted exodus

- 5 Terminators with all claws, 5 unbuilt
- 2 Ten-man Veteran's squads (1 group with two plasma, one group with two melta)
- 20 tactical in one squad

- 2 Dreadnought
- Javelin Landspeeder

I feel like I need some reliable anti-tank or maybe a stolen group for the coils of the hydra but could use some creative help! I also relay don't like my terminator loadout. So could use suggestions on the other five.

Any help would be appreciated!

I don't get why would you ever wanna have slawas on terminators, besides they look cool.
With terminators you wanna hunt dangerous stuff, not tacticals, so why arm them to hunt 3+ save, when there is already so much stuff that kills 3+?
If you get charged/or charge by anything remotely dangerous with 2+ save, your terminators are completely useless, about as good as veterans with chainswords.
I always give terminators pf/and 1-2 chainfists so that they can kill any armor. And with pf you can insta kill any of those 2 wound terminators, and you don't suck vs 2+ save and you wound on 2+ anything beside mechanicus bigest constructs.

I have spartan for my 10 terminator unit, rapier lasers work nice for at, so do thudd guns vs anythig not AV14, although they do have good chance to glance it quite well-12 hits that reroll armor pen.

1-2 more javelins is also nice, they are very cost effective.

YOu could also get 1-3 laser vindicators, although a bit cheesy if you take 3.

Cool list! I'd go for some kind of flyer - ideally a Ziphon or Lightning. Also a bunch of Seekeres with combi-plas in a Rhino is downright nasty against high priority targets.

That's an interesting take. I don't think I realized you could combi-plas those guys.

Also, I have no idea why I put lighting claws on all those terminators, they just looked cool and I didn't realize until later what a mistake it was.

I was also looking at adding breachers and/or dynat. But still trying to figure all that out.

Would it be valuable to add some kind of predators or stationary weapons platforms?

Dynant is cool, I got him other week, but haven't tested him. Works well with Drop pod list.
@Xathrodox86 - I am not sure you need combi plasma with seekers? You won't be able to rapid fire them 1st turn, so those rapid fireshots are wasted. But if you give them for example that consul that grants them scout, you can infiltrate, scout, and be in range for 1st turn their s5 ap2 shred shells . Cheaper, and more deadly than combi plasma.

I would leave breachers for ZM, or other legions. I don't find them that good in AL.

If you want stationary platforms, take rapier lasers/thudd guns? HS is crowded with good choices, and I would take a lot of them before predators.

You're right, my bad. Those shells are a much better idea.

Also Rapiers are your friends, when it comes to fire platforms.
