Hi all!

Old Fantasy player, but kinda new to 40k. I made this list to play against some friends. Don't want something overly competitive, but it does need to pose a enjoying challenge and winning is fun of course. The Mek Gun, Deff Dread and Goblins are a gift, so I prefer to keep them in the army (though with other configuration is possible). Thanks for feedback!

Boss, klaw, Pole, Lucky Stikk, Warbike.

Painboy, Warbike.

TROOPS:

10 Gretchin + 1 Runtherd

12 Orks, Heavy armor, incl. Nob (pole+klaw), Trukk.

12 Orks, Heavy armor, incl. Nob (pole+klaw), Trukk.

ELITE:

5 Tankbusta's, bomb squig.

FAST:

1 Deffkopta, rokkits.

1 Deffkopta, rokkits.

4 Warbikes, incl. Nob with Klaw (HQ goes here).

HEAVY:

1 Deff Dread, Grot Riggers.

1 Mekk Gun, Kustom Mega-Kannon, 2 extra Gretchin & Ammo Runt.

Tankbustas need a ride
Dread just dosent seem to fit the rest of the list ..use the points to give the bustas a ride and mabey more mek gunz

Well I like the overall list however I agree with morfydd on the idea of the tankbustas getting a trukk somehow.

The ideas that I was able to come up with that might make that a possibility were to

1) Remove heavy armor on one squad of boyz. This option would give you some points left over even after the purchase
of a trukk but it would leave the boyz less sturdy which Im personally not a big fan of because if the trukk happens to blow
up they are gonna want more than just a t-shirt save.

2) Remove heavy armor on both squads of boyz buy a trukk for the tankbustas and more mek gunz for the fun of it.
Again im not a huge fan of naked trukk boyz but mek gunz are really good and maybe they can just kill everything.

3) Or as morfydd said the deffdread does seem to stick out as the black sheep, but as you said you would prefer to keep it in the list.

I was wondering if you had other models aside from the ones you have in your list or if you were still in the process of buying all of
the models as it would help with further suggestions if you would like them.

I've heard horrible things about the Deff Dread, but want to keep it, at least for now. I converted the model from a Hellbrute, so maybe I can also use it as a Ghazghkull (don't have meganobz though).

I do have lots of boyz left, including 15-20 shoota's. Also have 3 Killa Kans, 5 loota's, 5 burna's, 1 mekboy, couple of nobz, a Weirdboy, Warboss, and about 15 kopta's (somehow everyone had spares).

Although expensive I prefer to keep the Heavy Armor. Just too afraid of some lucky shot blowing up the trukk and all the orks. The total list is 996pt (+4p). I can drop a Bomb Squig (+5pt) and the Grot Riggers (+10pt), or drop the Warbike Nob, since the Warboss should kill most stuff (+35).
If I drop the Nob and Riggers (+49pt), I can buy the hunters a trukk, an extra boy and a second squig (-48pt)?

If your dead set on keeping the deff dread for bigger games I've had some success outflanking them with the Mogrok's Boss boyz formation from Sanctus Reach. Three big meks a warboss and a Weirdboy is all you need to give d3 units outflank and +1 to seize rolls. A deff dread with scorchas can roast some backfield objective holders or rokkits can take some cheeky shots at rear armor before charging next turn. One of the big meks has to be your warlord but if any army doesn't need WAAAGH! It's truck boyz and bikers.
