I've got 2 lists, which do you think is the best and can you suggest some Specialist rules that would go well.

List 1)
4 Screamers
1 Alluress - leader
9 Daemonettes

List 2)
6 Flesh Hounds
1 Blood Reaper - leader
8 Bloodletters (3 specialists)

Technically list 2 is KDK because I couldn't fit 6 Hounds, 10 'Letters and still upgrade a 'Letter to a Character, so I had to drop 1 'Letter (KDK min size is only 8), but otherwise their rules are identical in KT.
Alternately, I could take 6 Hounds and the 10 Daemonettes

I have played against a swarm of bloodletters and it was a total pain lol (as a marine player), thanks to lots of cover. However, if you can take the charge away from them, it becomes a LOT less scary... after learning that, it was manageable.

I like the hounds though, and I would really be curious to see how the daemonettes did... I think the last list you commented on would actually be really scary... I'd try that! To be honest, a Killteam list that just spams the same 1-2 unit (especially if they can really only participate in one phase) may get really boring for you to play... just a thought.

As for specialists... I guess you don't have many options... one hound with FnP, one thing with "wounds on 2's in cc", and one with "poison" attacks I guess... or maybe just infiltrate one? That could be good for objective missions, especially "Supply Drop" (If you play the Killteam book missions).

Hope that helps!

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

Kill team is always going to be an uphill battle with a cc army seeing as though you can only assault one model at a time (unless you multicharge). Also a lot of people seem to be taken cheap flamer units, that wall of flame is gonna hurt.

I would go with the Khorne list because IMO 6 flesh hounds will do better than 4 screamers at cleaning up troops and tanks; their Str5 charge can deal with rear armour 10 vehicles most of the time.

Thanks for the feedback.
I probably will go with the Khorne list. I am using KT to introduce my boys (10 & 12) to 40k. We've tried 500-1000pt games and they just don't have the attention span for it yet (damn video games!).
One of my boys is rather aggressive, so he has had some success with Flesh Hound but also seems to have no interest in Daemonettes, so that was the main reason to fit the 'Letters in
Plus they have played the Space Marine game, so that might help keep their imagination.

For specialist, I like the idea of FNP on a hound, but sadly Beasts cannot be specialists. Maybe Infiltrate, Re-rolls to wound & Hatred would be good for the specialist 'Letters

I recently made a daemon kt list and have something very sad to tell you. Beasts cannot be specialists, sadly this means no fnp hounds :(
