It's ummm, well, it's a Xindi Insectoid ship that's pretty "meh". Just a few thoughts:
The Orrasin's ship ability is a good ability FOR THAT SHIP. A ship that rolls few dice, and gives you another option to use your Battle Stations token. The maneuver dial isn't bad on the Insectoid ships, but I don't like that red 3 come about. Should be a white at most.
The Insectoid Councilor is a nice
CS 7 captain with a pretty crappy Action. I don't see how I'd want to spend an action during the action phase for the CHANCE to change one of my opponent's evade rolls to a blank, and then take a point of damage. The times when such things become useful are usually late game when your own ship is messed up, and you need that one extra point of damage to finish someone off. There might be a build out there that could use this to good effect, but...
The Elite Talent Thalen is pretty good (add a weapon slot to the ship, if it's a Xindi weapon upgrade, it's -2
SP. You can also disable him to add +1 attack die to a secondary weapon attack (max 6). Note that it's a 5 point disable and not a discard!
Xindi Council: This is the first card I've seen that acquires tokens as your ship takes damage, and then you can discard this card to reroll as many of your dice as you have mission tokens on it. I think it would have been better to discard and replace as many evade or hit dice as their are mission tokens (max of 4!) on this card. I'm not a big fan of any card that requires you to take damage first, just to reroll some dice. My dice hate me.
The Insectoid Raiding party: Much like all the other raiding party cards out there, it makes you drop your shields and use an action to discard an upgrade on an enemy ship with no shields. Does anyone ever use these things?
The weapons are passable, if only because you can field the Torps for free with Thalen and possibly make it a 5 dice attack. You could make a passable Torpedo Boat with that combo on a big enough ship. I would love the Pulse-Firing Particle Cannon if it was 360 arc, or the second attack was NOT at -1 attack dice.
Solid ship, if a bit blah. No game breaking combo's come to mind with this expansion. If you played a meta that limited ship size to 4 hull or less, this would be a great ship. Problem is, bigger ships out there could easily one shot such a small ship unless it packs some serious upgrades, at which point why not just play a bigger ship?
