So, I've been using isopropryl alcohol and an old toothbrush to strip off a bunch of minis that I'm going to sell off (some of them are my very first attempts and look .) It's slow going though, and i've got a lot of minis to cover, so tips?

Take all your clothes off real fast...

Oh... oh.

Pick up some Nail Polish remover, Acetone free. Soak your minis in it for an hour, scrub them with a toothbrush under a tap.

Soak them for 6 hours if the paint is thick,

Thankfully I was big on thinning my paints, so the only really thick ones are the ones that I've 'd up on the spray paint with. I've heard a lot about Simple Green, but the site doesn't tell me much.

Acetone is good only for metal models as the acetone will react with plastic and melt it.

Simple Green (aka Purple Power, aka Super Clean) is a good product, but you need to be careful with it and always wear appropriate PPE when using it as it will dry out your skin something fierce. It is safe for both metal and plastic and will take off paint of anything thickness. I have a container of it that I've been using for months without changing the liquid out and it is still quite potent.

Let the minis soak in the Super Clean overnight and in the morning just rinse them under warm water with a tooth brush and you should be good to go. If not, let them soak a little longer. Patience is a virtue in this regard.

<edit>

I wanted to add that the active ingredients in Super Clean is Sodium Hydroxide aka Lime or Caustic Soda. You have to be careful when using this stuff because it will cause chemical burns.

Whooo. That sounds nasty, especially as I only really have a pair of latex gloves and a mask that I use whilst spraying.

DETOL DETOL DETOL all the way.2 days atleast for metal, does melt plastic a little so check every day .Use washing up liquid to take off the paint with a toothbrush as its very gooy and sticky. After you have done this rinse under water. Can use detol one more time after this, unless its very contaminated with paint

I found hard to believe that ISO cannot do the work, since it's way stronger than Detol or Whatever green stuff they use for the purpose. Are you sure that the ISO is 99% and the minis are not painted with enamel paint?

Beat me to it

Back to the topic, Simple Green has worked wonders for me. Don't both diluting it, leave the model(s) in it overnight, then take out and run under water while scrubbing with a toothbrush. If the paint still isn't coming off, let soak for one or two more days.

You say Fiery Crash! I say Dynamic Entry!

Dettol is about 90% Isopropyl alcohol anyway.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

State-side, the Dollar Stores carry this stuff:

That works real well. I've got a batch of Ebay Tau going right now that has been soaking for about 7 hours and the paint is starting to flake off real nice. 12 hours or so of soaking a bit of gentle brushing makes 'em look like new. It's also cheap enough I don't mind doing small batches.
