I'm going to my first tornament 6/11, its 1500 points and I only have 1000 so I'm taking some models that aren't mine, still I think I have an idea of what I whant and how I'm going to use it, my idea is to have 2 dreadnouts and a razorback firing twinlinked lasscannons from then back, while I have 25 taticals and 2 dreadnouts with meltaguns on on the frontline. I haven't played for much long so I don't inted to win just whant to participate to gain experience, still I don't whant to look like a total loser.

Query anything you are not sure of. Make sure you know your opponents army as much as your own.

Forgot to mention, the tornment rules: every player has to use the CAD but it has 4 compulsory troops instead of 2, and if you whant to have 3 elites you need 5 troops.

Depending on the mission don't forget that you can combat squad. Make sure you bring some kind of AA also, maybe a firestorm redoubt

this format favors Eldar. Play Eldar. Borrow everyones' jetbikes.

Take transports to keep your tacs alive and give them mobility. Rhinos, razorbacks or drop pods.

Dreadnoughts are terribad and I wouldn't bother.

Ravenwing is by far the most competitive way to run Dark Angels.
