Hi all,

I have finally decided to start a project I have had in mind for quite some time now, and I thought this might be a good place to share it.

The basic idea is to build the Seven Deadly Sins - Wrath, Gluttony, Lust, Greed, Envy, Sloth, and Pride - as Chaos models (more Fantasy than 40k). They will be roughly attached to some Chaos God, and I will briefly explain my choice.
So, let's see how far this gets.

For the start, I wanted to show you my first project, which is Pride.
Wikipedia defines Pride as "irrationally believing that one is essentially and necessarily better, superior, or more important than others, failing to acknowledge the accomplishments of others, and excessive admiration of the personal image or self", which is pretty much in line with my understanding of the concept.
For me, Pride can kind of be seen as a Tzeentch thing, with Tzeentch having this strong ambition component. Tzeentch is change, and ambition is seeking change - namely, achieving one's goals and trying to accomplish one's schemes. If you actually succeed with your ambitions, and if this happens often, Pride is waiting just around the corner - after all, you surely have to be pretty awesome if your plans work out everytime, and the world changes the way you want it to change.

So this project relies heavily on this self-worshipping, self-glorifying aspect of Pride. Here is a picture of the current state of the project (building the components is basically completed, and they will be glued together once they are painted; that's why the carrier guys look so randomly played):

As you see, the idea is to have a guy who is pretty obsessed with himself, to the point where he lets two poor mutants carry around a pedestal with an idealized statue of himself, so that he can be worshipped as he should be.

Here you can have a closer look at the carriers, which are the Chaos Warshrine carriers with some bits added (Dark Elves Sister head, Khemri Stalker weapon), and fatty got a cloak made out of green stuff.

The pedestal itself is made from the Arcane Ruins set, with two fire bowls made from Dwarven shields and Flagellant torches. The Tzeentch Symbol on the large pillar comes from the Warshrine as well.

The statue itself is an Exalted Chaos Lord with Pegasus wings. That's what how Pride sees himself: An angel-like half-god superhuman in shiny armor.

However, in reality, he doesn't really look like this. I don't really want to commit to what happened to him. Maybe the statue just shows how he sees himself; maybe. was promised to look like this by Tzeentch; or maybe, he even once looked like this. Who knows. Fact is, mutation is the name of the game for him, with little to no glory or greatness involved.
The basis for this guy is a Chaos Forsaken. Shield comes from Chaos Knights, and weapons from Chaos Warriors. One "wing" is an Forsaken arm, the other one a Dryad branch combined with a Nurgle Plague Drone claw. Cloak comes from Imperial Knights, I think. The base is there for painting purposes, and will be removed again once he is painted.

Painting will start soon, and the second project, Sloth, is already in the making.

I hope some of you like it
