Hi there fellow players.

This week I started with Warhammer. After buying the General's Guidebook and some youtube movies, i'm sure that I want to play Undead and
join some tournaments in the future. Now i'm working on an army that suits competitive play.

I love the Deathrattle war battalion so this is what I came up with:

1000 point army
1 Wight king with black axe
1 Necromancer
30 Skeleton Warriors > spears
10 Skeleton Warriors > hand weapons
10 Skeleton Warriors > hand weapons
5 Black Knights
10 Grave Guard
Legion of death war battalion
Total points of 980

For expanding the army I thought of:

1500 point army
1 Arkhan the black
1 Wight king with black axe
1 Necromancer
30 Skeleton Warriors > spears
10 Skeleton Warriors > hand weapons
10 Skeleton Warriors > hand weapons
5 Black Knights
5 Black Knights
10 Grave Guard
Legion of death war battalion
Total point of 1440

2000 point army

So I'm thinking about improvement before buying all which is kinda expensive.
I really like to play undead / zombie's and rather not play ghouls and such.

I hope you can give me feedback and any tips / advice are welcome.

Im also putting together a Death army right now.
I dont knwo if the batallion is worth it (1in 1k points)...If you would skip the grave guard you could make a battalion of 40 skeletons. So you keep the 30 model bonus longer. then they have 3 attacks each and are a superb target for the necro buff!
Also the vampire lord is supperior in every aspect to wight king (what a pitty :( ) for just 20 points!
My opinnion is either get a big block of skeletons OR a big (20 models+) block of grave guard and skeletons as battleline tax 10, or if you relly need vs the armies in your meta 20 per unit (so they dont get wiped out in a single turn).
Thsi is for 1k points. If points get bigger there arre multiple ways to go. You could close out to 2k points using neferata mourngul combo. Morghasts are a great choice aswell imho.

I really like the 1k list, but I would switch to the WK with Tomb Blade and get the banner as well. The banner is just so strong! I like your choice of building for the Legion of Death battalion, it is really strong.

For the 1.5k list, I would definitely drop one unit of Black Knights. They are not battleline and don't do much damage. This kind of unit is useful, but you already have one unit of Black Knights and 2 10-man units of Skeletons, so you don't need another similar unit. Boost your 30-man Skeleton unit up to 40 models with the points you get, and spend the remaining 100 on something cool.

I'm on the fence about Arkhan in this kind of list - he works best in lists with a lot of magic, which you don't have.

For the 2k list, it's hard to comment on. The same things that apply to the 1.5k list applies here too. Another support hero, such as a Vampire Lord, would be really nice at this army size.
