I got this years ago, got it like 90% of the way done, and then abandoned it, as is my wont.

For whatever reason I decided to finally finish it up a few weeks ago. I haven't painted regularly in a pretty long time and my poor painting skills have degraded even further, but it's not terrible, just not very good.

Spoiler:

It's pretty much 100% stock.

Since I remain a mediocre painter, I added some LED's to the head and chest to distract from that. The eye LED's have a little Atmel processor to make the lights pulse. The lights are quite green, they just look yellowish/brownish here due to the gif compression, poor lighting, mediocre photography, pick which you like.

Spoiler:

The arms are magnetized, as are the supa-rokkits and the little body guns. I have some stuff to make a wrecking ball arm but the chances of me ever actually getting that done are minimal.

I don't know how many grots are too many - I wound up going with 6.

Spoiler:

All in all I think my Orks have maybe gotten a bit out of hand.

Spoiler:

There is no photoshopping on that image - I just shot it in very low light using a really long exposure. photography

Thanks for looking.

Wonderful stuff Ouze. If that's your degraded painting, I shudder to think how good your 'A' game is. The LEDs work a treat.

Really great detail and overall paint job. Just the right amount of grots too. Thinking back to when I did my Stompa, they really are a joy to build and paint (if time consuming).

Marvellous group shot of your Orks too - an Ork army is never too big!

Ouze, you're too modest, the Stompa looks good!

You cannot have too many Grotz.

Orks, out of hand? Oh, you mean not enough hands! Yes, I agree, you should paint more.

Stompa looks good. Only thing I'd love to see is more work on the bolts/rivets (more rust, metal flaking, etc.). The large spaces of solid red are a little plain looking. I'd also like to see some more of the plates non-red, if that makes sense.
