I'm going as Vic Rattlehead. Pics will be available tomorrow.
Here's some Halloween music for you all to enjoy:
We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".

Oh that's fantastic. I need to make a mini Vic Rattlehead now too.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I took the kids Trick or Treating last night and some people had really gone to town in our village dressing their homes for the kids to enjoy.
One family did spectacularly well eerily lighting his whole house turning his porch into a creepy cave spewing smoke (dry ice) and a very bass sound effect of chanting and screaming, with a chap dressed like death and with a hideous skeletal mask appearing out of the smoke every now and again with a bowl of sweets. There were crowds of kids and adults all fascinated by the place but ironically not a single kid would go anywhere near the place to get any sweets!
Probably not a patch on what the Yanks get up to but highly entertaining nonetheless.
As for my efforts I carved a Lego Ninjago Pumpkin which the kids were pretty chuffed with.

We had a great Halloween this year, the weather was fine and my offspring netted a huge haul of treats.
The local community centre had a bonfire and a haunted bouncy castle for the kidlets and kaluha and bailey's candies for the adults.
Many houses in my neighbourhood went all out on decorating for the holiday, one house had upwards of $5000 worth on animated creepies in their yard.
One of the best Halloweens in years!
Only one person called my costume. I guess Megadeth isn't as cool anymore as it was when I was in high school. Did freak out the younger kids though.

Great job on it!
Thanks! Took a bit of work to put all the accruments on a generic skull mask.
I am jealous of your younger self. That could have been either an incredible show or a total gakstorm, depending on how fethed up MegaDave was that day
I have seen Megadeth three times, first in '99, then opening for Heaven and Hell, then recently with Black Label Society. Killer shows, all of them.

It was a great show at some little crap hole venue in South Beach, FL that al the punk and thrash acts seemed to play (saw Anthrax, Voivod, Celtic Frost, Suicidal Tendencies and a slew of others there).
You did a great job on that mask. The glasses 'riveted' on really make it.
Every time a terrorist dies a Paratrooper gets his wings.
I've never had any interest in Halloween myself but last night when I took the dog for a walk around the block there was mist everywhere and it was quite thick too, it was really quite effective for a good Halloween night. Didn't see a single person (which was a relief). It was one of the quieter nights there's been for a long while actually.
Be Pure!
Be Vigilant!
BEHAVE!
Show me your god and I'll send you a warhead because my god's bigger than your god.

Nice costume!
I was a young man when all the big thrash acts were in their prime and putting out their best albums...of all the thrash acts I've seen, Megadeth on the Countdown to Exctinction tour (1992?) was one of the tightest, most badass live metal act ever, (besides, of course, Slayer).

So, last night I happened to go into the heir's boy-cave to discuss some things with him while he was doing homework and saw his candy stash from Halloween. I'm not a big candy fan, but I've now discovered the utter deliciousness that is Almond Snickers. Firstly, when the hell did they start making these and why didn't I get an email! Thank God he only had 2 of the fun size little buggers. Had, being the key word!

I don't need Halloween as an excuse to eat a tonne of chocolate, especially since I've worked out I can eat it pretty regularly and still have plenty of room in my calorie limit to lose weight
