Hey mates. Have my first matchup against the new Genestealer Cult army list and as it stands, this is what I will be taking against them. Will be using the standard Elysian Army List so let me know what you guys think.

Pretty simple but effective. Gives me a total of 9x Flyers to field against his list but I am debating on moving some points around to field some Drop Sentinels. Thoughts?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you auto-lose turn one? You'll have nothing on the table at the end of the first player turn. If Elysian Drop Troops have some sort of rule that gets around this, you're probably going to murder them. All of those Valkyries will obliterate everything the Genestealer Cult has. I'm not sure how much value you'll get out of the Vendettas. Genestealer Cults don't have any threatening vehicles or monstrous creatures.

Elysian Drop Troops have a Special Rule where basically any Valkyrie or Drop Sentinel units follow the same rules of Drop Pod units in regards to turn 1. Basically it's the IG version of a Drop Pod Army, but with Valkyries and Drop Sentinels instead.

Suggest let some of your Veteran take Heavy flamer or flamers. That will murder any Cult members except the Patriarch, they live and die by their cover save.

If you need to deal with the truck or Rock Grinder or Chimeras, your Vendattas plus 2 to 3 Squad of meltas are good enough.
