I've finally settled on a legion to use for my models and it's the glorious 3rd! The following is fluff about the warband and also the tabletop idea.

Warband Name:
The Pandemian, Peccaminous and Perlaceous, Purpureal Pentarchy of Pthartic Plenipotence, Priapism and Paromeon.
AKA: The sensual, sinful and pearl-like, purple pentarchy of destructive absolute power, lewdness and alliteration.

Warcry:
For the pythonic proditor and palzogony with phaeic pucelles!
AKA: For the python-like traitor and foreplay with dusky maids!

Force itself:
#1 The Parure (Set of Jewels); Phoenix Guard squad in a Caestus
#2 The Plumigerous (Plumaged); Two Dreadnoughts (Ferrum, Contemptor)
#3 The Panoply (Collection); Three Terminator Squads (Indomitus, Cataphractii, Tartaros)

Leadership:
A Pentarchy of the three terminator sergeants and the two dreadnoughts.
(The Phoenix Guard are expected to dedicate all their attention to perfection rather than leadership).

Description:
This Warband will form after the retreat from Terra, around the same time as the EC shattered; so at the end of the HH. They're obsessed with proving that the best of the best (themselves) require no support from those they consider inferior (which is basically everyone) with anything at all; from art and poetry, to combat prowess and physicality.

While the panoply of their plate offers great protection, their ponderousness prevents them from proximity with the oppugnant.

Have you a plan to prioritise their pace?

Your perception is profound and so I plan for these personnel to pluck and protect pristine land.

If need be, the Parure will present their prowess promptly upon arrival.
